Aurora

Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger Norway. Professionally known as Aurora and sometimes stylized with uppercase letters like AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released through the label Decca Records in May 2015 getting great reviews from music bloggers and the media. Half the World Away, by the Oasis group for John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole are just two of her best-known songs. Her name was also recognized via a blog post from Katy Perry where Perry endorsed her track Runaway. Make it a special day for her. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory was of discovering a piano in her attic and being awed by the sounds it would make. Jan Oystein Aksnes' parents May Britt Aksnes urged her to make music as a means of personal growth, rather than as a way of earning money or to pursue as a hobby. In order to do so she started writing her own songs that were her own creations. Her inspirations include famous writer Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan, as well as her love for Bjork's style. After her mom informed her that her music would not just help her achieve fame however, they could also help others understand their significance to the world and appreciate the possibilities for them and her music, she was inspired to start performing publicly. She began playing the piano when she was six years old and started creating music when she was nine. Her family didn't have any idea about it until she turned fourteen. Aurora was not a dream of her childhood. The only thing she loves is to write music. Music to her is the most effective method to experience anything.
